Brookings-Harbor School District 17-C
Welcome
Our District is considered "medium" sized in our state, serving 1,799 students in grades K-12. That includes High School alternative program, Pacific Bridges, a night school, 2+2 college courses, GED offerings, and an elementary after-school program - Pathways.
Our school board meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and also participates in numerous workshops as well. We have a staff of approximately 200 to serve our students. We offer a full array of sports programs for boys and girls and have a brand new high school track surface. We have a supportive community, and offer many other programs as a result of volunteers. Programs such as ASPIRE, for high school students interested in attending training or school after high school; SMART, for elementary readers; bowling; and many others. We are fortunate to live in a community that cares about young people.
The mission statement of the District is: Together with our community partners, Brookings-Harbor School District will create life long learners in a safe environment; emphasizing high academic standards and promoting student achievement. Each day the district, committees, and groups of the district and the staff use these words to guide decisions, curriculum, and planning for the future of out students.
